Default Financials

While we are waiting on our insurance: We got a small personal unsecured loan from our local credit union and finagled some things. Here are some other ideas: AmOne and Discover Personal Loans. We have high credit score and still it was higher interest than I would like; Discover gave us 15.99 % on $20,000. We are still waiting to hear from AmOne. They search options in your area and try to get you the best deal. We didn't want to put a second on the house. I checked with some companies that where featured on Fox Business News, but they will only work with US hospitals and doctors or issue credit cards that are not usable outside the US. Care Credit was crazy interest!!!

Cheryl, if you have really good credit, new credit card companies always want you to join and will often offer you a 0% balance transfer rate. This can be good for up to 18 months depending upon which one. Here is a link to a search I just did on this.

I actually took out a small loan this way. If you do this, be sure not to charge anything else to the new card until after the balance transfer is paid off. Otherwise you will be subject to interest on it. Basically you would take out the initial loan on Discover and then transfer it to the new card.
