LP-ESP 9° - Ep 12 mm - T1 L4-L5
LP-ESP 9° - Ep 10 mm - T1 L5-S1 Surgery was on November 08, 2016... so I am 4 months 22 days post-op. Even though I have severe atrophy (getting better every day) I feel so good right now overall. I have no pain in my spine, facet joints or nerves. My surgery was 100% successful, and I have been given a greater than 99% chance of making a full recovery with no restrictions by the end of May of 2017.

I'm wondering if they'll ever do a study showing the effects these newer discs have on the facet joints. I know that the Activ L did one that was pretty cool:

Dr's using LP-ESP
I am most interested in this disc. Is there a list of Dr's that use this disc? I only know of Dr. Rischke.

Dr Desai in Germany -- http://www.dfk-koeln.de/leistungsspe.../das-team.html -- click the TRANSLATE BUTTON that pops up.
He prefers the LP-ESP but will do an M6 implant if that better fits a person's anatomy (x-large vertebrae in very tall men) at time of procedure. He charges around $15k Euros for one level and $20k Euros for two levels. Complete package cost excluding travel and hotels/food after being released from the hospital. I've spent months researching various discs. Those who stumble upon finding and researching this one end up getting it. Its awesome! Send the CD with MRI to the address and include email, symptoms, past treatments, etc Dr. Biren Desai Head of Department Spine Surgery Dreifaltigkeits-Krankenhaus Köln-Braunsfeld Aachener Straße 445 - 449 D-50933 Köln Germany Last edited by LHerm; 06-01-2017 at 11:30 AM. |

The LP-ESP seems to be one of the best choices out there at this time... I'm shocked the company isn't doing more to advertise its growing popularity. The last published numbers for sales was from about 2 years ago and is only 6k. While the M6 has like 10x that number.

Four central disc protrusions in thoracic spine. C5-C6, C6-C7 bulging, bone spurs. Imaging not looking good. Successful CP-ESP's placed in Oct 2019 by Dr. Desai. Delayed lumbar surgery to work on bone density. Considering options now, some but minimal bone density improvement. Will only use LP-ESP. |

Fatigue and wear testsAm I the only one concerned that a load of 135 N isn't very much? I mean sure, if they do 40 million cycles at 1,350 N... Highly impressive. But no indication of what the distribution of those force ranges were.
