Its a sizzling 83 degrees out there and the thunderstorms are gathering - -- if you are going there from now to the end of August do try and get Air conditioning in your hotel.

Its far from nice being roasted whilst recovering from ADR - - - I know it happened to me -- - I post this warning every year and there is always someone gets caught out - - -make sure its not you!!
Best
Alastair

You know, I saw you post this before and I wondered then why people don't just go out and buy a couple small fans for their room? Personally, I can't stand air conditioning and would much rather have an open window and a fan.

Years of pain, discectomy, research into anatomy, hardware, clinical trials, facilities, surgeons, techniques, insurance. Attempts at ProDisc, Activ-L trials. Now, low bone density. D'oh!!!

At 61 years, no longer qualifying for trials due to my age (chronological, not physical or mental).

2009 - Working on improving bone density or getting rich so I can go to Germany, where medicine and insurance have gone beyond the Stone Age.

Rein

When I was across their we had windows open, a fan going day and night, remember you are in a 22 storey building at the Sheraton Burgenhausen hotel. I was on the 14th floor so I got all the heat coming up from the other 14 floors in addition to everything else that was coming along. The thunderstorms at night with lightening which lit the entire bedroom also, it made the place so incredibly humid it was almost unbearable. Had I known there was air-conditioning and the Sheraton Grand just across the way I would have moved instantly.

It's the knowing that counts

Sounds like a torture chamber! ;-) I take your point, though. Under those circumstances I guess I would have been dying for air conditioning as well.
