You've seen multiple surgeons? Did they prescribe fusion because they did not do ADR? Because they contraindicated you for ADR? I have seen a number of patients go to Stenum and Bertagnoli after US surgeons contraindicated ADR. About half ended up very sorry that they went against those contraindications. So if you have been contraindicated for ADR, I would encourage you to be very very sure before going through with ADR anyway.

I've also seen people go into ADR surgery and come out no better than they went in, because as it turned out, that the diseased disc, though degenerated, was not what was causing the problem. There in lies the rub; we have different doctors giving us different diagnoses, none of us have medical degrees, but yet still have to make the decision on what treatment we're going to pursue... There are many tests that can be done to accurately determine what is causing your symptoms. Before proceeding with ADR, or any other surgery, I'd strongly encourage you to determine beyond doubt (if possible) what is the cause of your symptoms.

thanks i will check him out my herniated discs i have are from a motor cycle accident not disc disease and all the doctors i saw in my mind where against adr because it was new to them and they didnt have much experience thats my opinion i had an extensive work up and 2 disco grams which reproduced back.leg,and severe testical pain oh and i wanted to mention after my disco gram my back eventually gave out before this test i was fine with my back dr was trying to find source of my original problem urinary urgency and erectile dysfunction, so now back was real bad i went to a chiropracter after first adjustment back and leg pain gone after 3rd adjustment following day my original urinary urgincy got so bad i wanted to die literally so i opted for lumber endoscopic disectomy which i believe gave me some relief im pretty confident that my discs are my problem after all the extensive work ups i had with dozens of specialist and my experiences

It is tuff to just focus on one surgeon. It's good to start there, but then you should contact and send your MRI's, etc. to at least to three of the top surgeons in the field. Before I was able to make my final decision I had sent all my information to ADR surgeons in Germany, Mexico, England and Spain. Plus I had the support and input of my spine surgeon here in the U.S.. It can take some time and in the case of some of the surgeons there is a cost for them to review your records, but it's a life changing decision so doing your research is key to your success. thank you it is a very exausting prossses just when you think you found the right dr 5 other good ones pop up its hard when you dont have anybody to talk to about their experiences with a doctor you hear about or pick kinda like going in blind oh and by the way i was considering the m6 lumber anybody have one of those or know any of the long term success please let me know oh and which doctor did you end up going with,which disc and how was your out come
