Default Curly Girl

Hi Everyone,
New member here, 30+ years of chronic pain and surgeries since road accident many years ago. Another RTA last year and condition worse. Now on waiting list for ADR (prodisc) in Croydon. Feeling really positive about it, in fact can't wait
Comments please to either affirm what I am feeling or give me a reality check - I do hope not!

Default How long of a wait?

curlygirl 54

I see you stated you are on a wainting list for your surgery in England. I am assuming by your postings that you are a U.K. citizen. I'm just courious of how long of a wait you are looking at?

Hi Harrison,

I love your 'reborn'statement , it gives me real optimism.

I'm really just concerned that my positivity about the surgery is naive but I have strugged with chronic pain for years and until now there seemed to be little hope. All I have read leaves me feeling that this surgery may just give me enough relief to enable the core stability work my spine badly needs. I am currently in the catch 22 situation where the barest amount of exercise leaves me in the most horrendous flare up.

I am also worried about Physio - I want to do the very best for myself after the surgery but post IDET I was given very bad advice by the Physio. My Osteo threw her hands up in horror when I told her what I was being asked to do as, like many of us on here, I have complex issues in my spine and not just problems with the surgery site.

I really appreciate all the support you give members on here - thank you.

Shirley

Hi Shirley

Welcome to the forum here, its a great resource.

Your positivity is great and certainly will help you through the process to recovery.

Are you aware of the 'Adr Support UK' website? You may find that to be of interest.

Lynda
