Default Throbbing Back Pain and Constipation

I have been experiencing horrible throbbing pain in my low back (where the herniation is) that feels like nerves pinching for the past few days. Without even realizing it, apparently I was a bit constipated. I was in tears this AM when I got up, and since having had a BM feel much better. has anyone else had/seen any correlation between the two? Or am I just imagining it?

I have had a similar experience, though not as severe as what you are describing. I had what felt like typical sciatica pain, that seemed to be associated with constipation. Since I don't have the typical sciatica pain, normally, it was noticeable.

Default Oh Poo!

Karla,

Many experience constipation and diarrhea from nerve inflammation. It would seem to me that depending on how clogged the plumbing is could have some effect due to pressure being exerted from the abdominal cavity towards the spine. Just a guess.

As always, please be aware of cauda equina symptoms - just in case.
