Default In too much pain to let my boys beat on me any more.

I have been taking karate for 6 years now with my boys and are close to the coveted black belt... but alas I am still a punching bag for my two sons (8 and 11)... at least I was!! Now my back is so sore I can't take it any more. This is also hurting the hockey and horse back riding... So it's really affecting the lifestyle. I have DDD in L5/S1 and am looking for guidance. MRI complete and evaluating next steps. Appreciate any guidance to help me navigate these complex and difficult issues.

Geronimo12342001 Thank your lucky stars you are only one level and L5-S1 at that. Do your REASEARCH, find a Dr that has done many procedures like yours has a great record etc etc. and go for it. Get it over with and start the healing process and get back to life brother! You will do well with only one level. Good luck!

Hi Geronimo,

I'm sorry you are here but you found a good place. Chronic pain is a life drain.....but thankfully there are options out there.

Its a bit onerous sorting out what to do, the $ etc. but folks here have great info and resources so you aren't alone in sorting all of this out.

All the best on your journey, take care, Runner
