I'm going to see Mr. Boeree in Eastleigh, UK to have my L4-5 degenerated disc replaced with a Spinal Kinetics M6-L. Out of pocket works out to about $28k CAD. (doesn't include flights or hotel)
I'll be driving my 2004 Jetta for a few (15) more years, now... though I think the seat in it contributed to my bad disc.

Harrison,
You had mentioned to me about donating my degenerated disc material for study... do you have the information handy on the board? I'm not sure if it will work being in the UK, but its certainly worth others looking into. -Brett
