Hi all,
36 year old Male here. Two years ago had a traumatic perched pedicle fracture that required semi emergent ACDF with plating. Thought I might have a good ten years ... well, not so much. Recently within the last few months started having neurological symptoms in arms and legs. Tingling, numbness. MRI shows discs bulging above fusion. No lumbar imaging yet but likely have a bulging lumbar disc as well (lower back pain, neuro disturbance in thighs). With four boys under six at home I need to get physically better! Am looking hard at all options including multiple level ADR in Germany.

Hi Ken, welcome and I hope we can support you in your journey. What state do you live in? Have you sought a consult with any ADR doctors yet?

Yes have been consulting with Prof. Dr. Bertagnoli and a few others. Would likely be looking at 2 or 3 ADRs above fusion. Trying to figure out if any offer any protection against future asd which is obviously what the fusion seems to be causing.

It sounds like you've had a pretty rough go of it. I hope you can find a good doctor that can fix you up.
In the US, there's the Texas Back Institute, but I think in your situation, Bertagnoli is the man to be talking to. All the best for your recovery!
