Guess it's a good sign that Dean's been walking around the house singing at the top of his lungs for the past two hours! Haven't heard that kind of joy out of him in a looooong time! And it's a complete turnaround from last night's state of high anxiety.

We're leaving for surgery in a half hour. YAY!

Hi Kim:

Just sit back and relax. You put a lot of work in to getting him and you to this place and time.

My wife cried when I was in surgery for five hours as she felt so helpless. God put me in good hands.

Trust that God has Dean and you in his hands.

Thank you so much everyone! Dean is out of the OR and it went just fine! No fusions, no complications, etc.
I'll get to see him probably within the hour.
He's supposed to walk 2-3 times tomorrow and sit up, etc. We'll see how it goes!

Glad to hear everything went well and no surprises. Hope his recovery is uneventful as well.
The next few days/weeks,even months will be a rollercoaster, sit back and prepare for the ride! And welcome to the club.
Take care, and Kim make sure you get plenty of rest yourself as well, you'll need it.

Any updates on Dean and Sean? I'll bet they are relieved to be on "the other side"!
