Hi Jiro and welcome.

There are literally thousands of members that have surgery in the US. Pls see the Surgical Outcome Forum.

If you use the advanced search feature, you can use key words, like Tennessee:

http://www.adrsupport.org/forums/search.php

I found 58 references to your state.

Hope this helps!

Hey Jiro,

I had lumbar ADR about 2 months ago in Florida. My insurance carrier approved it and then retroactively denied payments after I had the surgery. You can read my full story over in the ADR surgical outcome section of the forum, or click here if you like:

Since you're in Tennessee, I think the Texas Back Institute is probably closer than any doctor I could recommend down here. Try giving them a call and ask for Dr. Blumenthal. They will consult with you by phone and email if you send them copies of your records.

Best of luck buddy!

Dr. Scott Hodges is in Chattanooga, TN, and does disc replacements. He also does the BlancedBack, but it's not approved in the US. He flies patients to the Caymen Islands and does the surgery there.

I had a consult with him today, since his office is just down the road from me. He said he has also done the ActivL disc replacement too, which can be done in the US since the ActivL is FDA approved.

Having the Activ-L done locally sounds like a good idea. You might be able to get your insurance to cover it.

I am having complications from my surgery, but I think it is mostly due to the retrolisthesis I had prior to the surgery.

There are others on this forum whom have had tremendous success with it.

Yes, I had a 2 level cervical ADR in Oct 2015. To date, this was the best decision of my life! I have DDD and spondylolethesis level 1-2 at L4-L5 and am avoiding getting a fusion as long as I can.

I just popped on to see if anyone has had a 2 level ADR in the 2 levels above a previous ADR.
