Harrison, you beat me to the punch.

What brings us to post and share on a regular basis is the pain and suffering that binds us together to search for answers, solutions, hope, understanding, and empathy from those that are in a similar state of body, mind, and spirit.

May we have grateful hearts for our lives as it is the journey and not the destination that keeps us going.

May we all have blessed journey's and solutions so that we can experience all the joys that life has to offer.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone . May we not eat so much food so as to damage our fragile spines.

To Harrison and all other members:

Thanks for your support and sharing of your personal experiences. All of this truely helps those of us searching for answers.

I can't wait to get to a point in my recovery when I feel comfortable enough to spend more time on here to "give back" so that I can help others.

Male, age 42, Hgt 6’ 1”, 195 lbs, Non-smoker, active retail sales manager, pain pre-ADR was chronic & "energy reducing".
02-01-08 Pain levels dropping. Energy good. getting Activity back.
05-02-08 Return to Work
05/08-05/09 Significant anxiety and depression due to loss of job (25 years).
08-16-09 Accepting pain levels of 4/5 at L5 area and left butt / upper left leg areas (charlie horse type of feeling).

lost all appeals BCBS 5 months of that
3 surgeons later
surgery with dr. bertagnoli aug 2nd 2006 in Bogen Germany Successfully ProDisc-L L-4 L-5

4/06 hip labral tear repair
4/07 Lumbar ProDisc replacement by Dr. B., 3 levels; L3-6
7/2/08 ALIF of L6-S1
7/30/08 Removed bone cement.
8/7/08 Diagnosed with pulmonary embolism, double pneumonia, collapsed left lung, pleurisy, pleural effusion.
3/10/09 right SI Joint Fusion; seeing light at end of tunnel, for first time in 8 years!!

i am doing very well thank you very much.
i am following a friend i help get to dr.b he had a 4 level prodisc done on weds.
now i am waiting for him to free well enough for a phone call.
they just removed his pain pump a few hrs ago so maybe ill get a chance to call him on sat when he can remember the call.
