Question Medical Tourism/Procedure Insurance?

Hi,

Anyone know about Medical Tourism or Medical Procedure Insurance? I've read a small bit about it and was curious if anyone purchased it before heading overseas or out of the country for ADR surgery.
Any idea how much it costs? or any other info would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Per your original posting, if you have only 1 diseased level, you can probably have Cervical ADR in the USA and it may be covered by insurance.
Stenum hospital in Germany, where I had a 2 level Cervical ADR in 2009 quotes its fees on its web site.

I purchased insurance soley for the potential for travel interuption, in case I needed to change my dates due to complications. Not expensive ($130 for my husband and I both, I think). There were specific clauses against any pre-planned medical interventions being covered, so that isn't applicable to your question. Not heard of insurance you can purchase for the medical procedure itself outside of the country. Feel free to browse my blog for info on my trip to England last year. Good luck

Smile Oct. 21

Headed to Barcelona, dr. Clavel. Excited, nervous - but ready to be pain free & get my life back! Plane tickets purchased... And counting down the days!

This site has been a valuable learning & research tool. Everyone's posts, the sharing of info all add up to help give me some peace of mind. Although I must admit that I am still second guessing myself & my decision... I suppose thatis normal??
