I agree with jss. Generally the surgeons don't give a crap what the radiologist says in the report. They much prefer to look themselves. In part, this is because the surgeon is responsible for evaluating the patient's suitability for the procedure, so their credibility and reputation is on the line. If they relied on the report and a careless radiologist missed something, the surgeon looks sloppy.

I had an MRI here in Toronto and the radiologist put a one-liner as a report. It was also kind of snarky. I tossed it and went to Buffalo and had another MRI. I got a full page report, giving many details missed by the bonehead in Toronto.
