Default See you on the other side...

Dear mcjagger,

I just completed my post op exams and final meeting with Dr C. Will be having 3 level M6-L tomorrow AM. Looks like you're also in town for you're surgery. We should both be convalescing at the same time. All the best to you.

Sept 2008 - laminectomy/discectomy at L4-5
May 2012 - 3 level M6-L ADR with Dr. Clavel in Barcelona.
Neck problems began Aug 2006 carnival ride ruptured two discs. At the time I
probably didn't notice due to chronic back pain but now losing use of right
arm. MRI shows the problem clearly.
Clavel will replace C5-6, C6-7 on Sept 10 2014.

Had a great visit with Dr. Clavel yesterday at the hospital, which is very impressive by the way, and he was able to alleviate most of my concerns. I am still anxious, excited, nervous etc. I can not quite put the proper words to how I am feeling. I am, however; ready to get things done and start my road to recovery!!! Another member of the board, sghansen, is also going to be at the hospital at the same time having undergone a 3 level adr, so please keep us both in your thoughts. Will post again as soon as I am on the other side!!!

Be careful. I heard from few members from sps that ritterlang would come to barcelona to operate on patients as well and vice versa. Make sure you know ur surgeon is clavel and not RL. it seems the moderator in sps might be making money from stenum as he is editing out comments regarding stenum in germany.

I can't comment on your accusation about the SPS moderator, but this is the kind of thing that gets distorted pretty quickly. I don't have Rich/Harrison's bank statement's in front of me but, given the number of times Rich has expressed displeasure with Stenum, I'm probably pretty safe in saying Rich isn't getting money from them.

To be fair, if you read the posts here and other places Ritter-Lang seems to be a gamble. Sometimes, he does well and people recover fabulously. Sometimes, his name is cursed and the only reason he'd make it out of a dark alley is because he's left patients too crippled to beat on him.

Jim, sps is a different web site. I don't believe Raj was referring to Harrison.

I know, but this is the kind of easily distorted accusation that sticks in the memory and gets twisted and repeated, especially with the sps website being unknown to many. This particular accusation has been made recently about Rich, myself, and about a half-dozen regular posters on this board so I wanted to head off misunderstandings. With the amount of money we've spent on health, I might have even seriously considered an offer for sponsorship but haven't seen one yet.
