Exclamation What would you like to tell patients but don't?

3. What do you most often wish you could say to patients, but don't?

"...Medications that primary care doctors routinely give to their patients for treating osteoporosis are often not appropriate for the patient because of their age and the result from their bone mineral density study.

Unfortunately the pharmaceutical companies' heavy advertising using TV and movie personalities to promote their drugs either to the patient and/or physicians results in the primary care physician feeling obligated to prescribe the so-called miracle osteoporotic medication. I would like to tell the patient that they don't need to be on this medication and that it could have serious consequences later in life by remaining on it..."
