Surgery w/ Dr. Clavel, 3/18/13, M6.
Before surgery: severe spinal stenosis C5/C6 (cord "flattened" per stateside doc), + for Hoffman's & Babinsky's.
At time of surgery: 5 yrs MAX before ending up in wheelchair.
Clavel found L5-S1 partially fused. Had to cut it apart to put in M6.
Please excuse brevity - SEVERE carpel tunnel.

Dr Bitan's name appears here on occasion. The only poster that I can recall that used Dr Bitan was scotto74. He doesn't post here anymore, but might respond to PM's.

Good luck, Jeff

I saw him today do not believe he can help me but that is my issues not the dr.
I also like dr dryer at Nyu if it just one disc at issue there a lot of good surgeons in this area that can help you.

Fusion C5-6, and C6-7 over 13 years ago.

C4-5, large central herniation impinging the cord, moderate degeneration, and mild rt foraminal stenosis

C7-T1, severe degeneration, bulging disc effacing the cord, moderate rt foraminal stenosis.

Spinal Cord stimulator which relied on for years, no longer masking pain so it is tolerable and at times it appears stimulator actually causing more pain.

Would like information on artificial disk replacement at C4-5 and C7-T1.

Boxer: well I paid a "discounted" rate of $250 for a 15 minute consultation, and he gave me 2 options. First, there was the temporary fix, and then the second option was a fusion at L5/S1 and a Pro-Disc at L4/L5. My head is still spinning. I thought I read somehwhere how much time he spends with patients!
