It is if you like wine!

BTW, if you are flying into California, you are allowed five cases of wine per person to come back with you through customs. Please check your home state as that number varies from state to state.

I will ask Dr. Clavel how soon I start drinking after surgery. But for me I know if I am on Fentanyl that question will sort itself out as even one sip of wine on Fentanyl makes me puke. I will definitely be bringing some wine back with me though!

Before surgery: severe spinal stenosis C5/C6 (cord "flattened" per stateside doc), + for Hoffman's & Babinsky's.

Clavel found L5-S1 partially fused. Had to cut it apart to put in M6.

I have focused on dealing with Dr Clavel as there is much more info about him and many glowing reviews. I have not experienced the issues with lost paperwork though. Let's all pray that Lilly sends us some great news from Barcelona in a few weeks. All for now; we are getting another storm here in the northeast!
No pressure huh? Maybe I should remind Dr. Clavel the world is watching?! LOL. I doubt that would make a difference in his level of care. He seems to have only glowing reviews, and I really liked the vibe I got from him. I even tried to find negative reviews out there and couldn't! I don't think it can get better than "glowing".

On a side note, I will definitely be telling them they need another assistant!

And finally, we took out a loan for part of it too, AND, I wanted to mention, Wells Fargo only charged us $35.00 for the wire transfer AND currency exchange! So if you have an account with Wells, it might behoove you to have them send the balance overseas. I read on other threads that some banks charge up to 5% for what Wells did for $35.00!

I did my transfer with usforex.com (they are in other countries as well) and i saved over $800 with a more favourable exchange rate over my bank and the transfer was free.

Oh man! Wonder what rate I could have gotten with them?

Oh well. What's done is done, and no use lamenting.

Jeff, I just found your suggestion for Gofundme...that sounds incredible. Not sure why I am not find replies faster in the forum. Sure glad this forum is here!

We did the same... got the miles! LOL
Hopefully we will be going back to Spain in Sept. or Oct. to explore the country and to see Dr. Clavel for a one year follow up visit! (more on that later)
