Default L2-l3

Hi,
I'm 'New', but I'm also 'Old'! I got L4-S1 replaced by ADR in 2006.
I was doing really great, but I had a fall, and then a few years ago, I bent straight over to the floor and was pulling on some carpet tape. That seemed to injure what I think is L2-L3.

MRI shows normal, but it was normal when they replaced L4- S1 and the surgeon told me when he went in there was nothing left of the discs.

Can they replace L2-L3? Anyone had PRP..Protein Rich Plasma injection?

Judi
Maverick discs at L4-L5 and L5-S1 in 2006.

I believe they can replace L2-3. PRP around the disk would help stabilize the segment and help overall, if the disk damage is still minor but you've weakened the soft tissue around it.

There are a very few people doing stem cell injections into the disk itself, which can help for some people but only if the disk is intact enough to retain the injected cells. If it's torn and leaking, you'll have a hard time getting a lot of benefit from an injection.

Yes, tried all the usual stuff...Physio, exercises, core stability, Ibuprofen, and just trying to be really careful not to lift anything more than a few pounds or bend forwards...It's going on 3 years now...
