As you know, I welcomed the UK site when it started, as I saw it (and still do) as an important and very useful resource. I think my posts on this thread by and large echo what you're saying. I am concerned, though, that information presented as fact should be accurate and distinguished from opinions/interpretations.

I'd be interested to know who are the UK surgeons who were calling for a UK board?

All good wishes to you here and there!

Hi & thanks Rose

I'm with Justin on this that nothing on any forum should be taken as fact, simply a sharing of experiences & information. Though I do fully understand your comment

With regard to surgeons agreeing that a UK board would be a good resource, I can only say Mr Lam as he is the only surgeon I have dealt with (so far!) but Alastair assured me that others felt the same which is why I made the comment. Mr Lam gives out Patient Info Sheets which is how I found this & a couple of other forums, I understand the UK board has now also been added to his list.

I also agree with Harrison about keeping this board International. Although things such as insurance etc varies from country to country, it is always good to keep up with what is going on medically as things can change, advance etc very quickly from one country to another. I certainly plan on staying aboard this forum as it has been a great help to me at times

All the best
