Allergies to metal in metal discs?
Has anyone found information regarding allergies to the metals that are used in ADR? I have found studies that titanium, etc are released into the bloodstream as the device wears/rubs together. Many people, including me, are allergic to many metals, especially nickel.
Hip and knee replacements have the same issues; most of the reports of metals being released into the bloodstream relate to them. Has anyone come across cases where patients were allergic to the implants?
