Default Wobenzym N - anyone tried it?

A friend of mine recommended Wobenzym N. I've done some reading and it sounds like a promising natural supplement for joint and tissue inflammation. I'm booked for ADR surgery in a few weeks and thought starting on something like this might help with the process.

Just curious if anyone here has tried it and whether it helped.

Ian,

IMHO just be cautious and maybe ask your surgeon about introducing anything new so close to your surgery.

Hoping for a great outcome for you

IMHO, great product, good reviews, overpriced. It will thin your blood and clear out a lot of debris -- start slow and week(s) away from surgery. So FS gives some good advice that would hopefully be addressed in your pre-op instructions! After all, it is best not to lose the patient on the table due to bleeding!

Enzymes are the overlooked elixir, if you know what to buy and how to use them.

This is another great product that has been used by patients here:

Zyflamend | Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center

Purported Uses

Antiaging
Cancer treatment
Inflammation

Constituents

Ocimum sanctum (Holy basil) leaf
Curcuma longa (Turmeric) rhizome
Zingiber officinale (Ginger) rhizome
Camellia sinensis (Green tea) leaf
Rosemarinus officinalis (Rosemary) leaf and essential oil
Polygonum cuspidatum (Hu Zhang) root
Coptis chinensis (Chinese goldthread) root
Berberis vulgaris (Barberry) root
Origanum heracleoticum (Oregano) leaf
Scutellaria baicalensis (Skullcap) root

Harrison,

Have you read or seen anything on Protandim?
I haven't heard about Wobenzym. Gonna check it out.

Funny you should mention that. I already fired off an email asking about using supplements so close to surgery. Seeing as how I'm getting the surgery in Germany and the fact that Wobenzym is quite popular in Germany, I'm sure I'll get an informed response.

Thanks, Harrison. My mom is fighting lung cancer, and Zyflamend looks like something I might want to look into for her.

Sure Ian. Glad it's of interest. F, a friend of mine is a Protandim champion. I read and researched the ingredients, it's good stuff:
  • Milk Thistle Extract
  • Ashwagandha
  • Bacopa
  • Green Tea Extract
  • Tumeric

I was cleared to use Wombenzym prior to surgery. Oddly enough, I was told to stop using fish oil 5 days before surgery.

I've been using Wobenzym for almost two weeks now and it's actually helped. Now it may just be a coincidence and my back is going through a 'cycle' where it feels a little better for no apparent reason, but it's been pretty crappy for the past 7 months, so I'm inclined to think the Wobenzym had something to do with it feeling more relaxed. I plan to continue throughout my surgery/recovery and beyond if this keeps up.
