Default LBP, thanks for the tip...

LBP,

Thanks for the idea. Took your advice, and caught the train to the rally. It was great. Beautiful day in downtown San Diego.
There were around 200 or more people there and several representatives of congress people were there. Along with people who take care of citizens without health insurance.
A lot of doctors and nurses and other health professionals were there too. One lady testified about how she has cancer and is uninsurable but has had her premiums increase in the neighborhood of 30 to 50 percent and has to keep that insurance because she cannot get any other insurances to insure her.
Talk about having no where to go.
There were people in wheelchairs and several disabled persons.
One lady's granddaughter, a little baby, had almost exhausted her allowable insurance because of serious illness.
Not too hard to do that with the cost of medical care these days.
Some stories were heartbreaking--scratch that, most were.
I urge everyone on here to tell their congressmen and women that we need change in health care and we need change where you don't have to worry that if you have a pap smear and need a little preventive care ,that that makes your insurance rescind you. That if, God forbid, you need a transplant and cannot get one because of your insurance's denial.
Think about it. We are all, one disaster or diagnosis from losing it all.
Sure this current legislation for health care reform is not all that it can be, that is not perfect, but it is a heck of a lot better than what we currently have. And what we have is not sustainable.
Not by our economy.
So get off your tushes and make your voices heard.
I am disabled and I can still pick up a phone and say that we need reform right now and people are dying because of our health care system that shouldn't die.
And that might be your brother, sister, niece, nephew, uncle, aunt or parents or friends. May even be your neighbor.
Please help,

Kimmers
