I dropped the coffee habit recently, and it already seems to have made a difference in my life. I dont have cold hands any longer, my BP is down a bit too. I miss it, but I think its better not to drink the java although I dont know what to think about its complex effects on our health. I always thought it was the caffeine that was naughty, this article makes me wonder! Bub-bye coffee buzz, Ill miss you.

Hey meds experts -- what do you think?!

I drink way too much coffee and have not yet wished to stop. I did cut back quite a bit while over in Vienna during surgery but right back on the horse again when I got home. I do slow down to only about 20 or 30 oz's during summer, but winter time, I am between 40 and 60 oz's.

Too much? I am sure, but at this point not ready to give it up!!

Take care, Bill

I successfully drop coffee several times a month. Then I take Excedrin. Then I drop Excedrin for coffee. I quit either one without any withdrawal problems... can't seem to knock both at the same time. What gives?

Mark

Harrison -- my condolences on your the loss of your coffee habit. Be brave, and have the strength to continue forward.

All joking aside, I am glad to see that you are realizing better health from kicking the coffee.

I myself drink only for pleasure on the occasional weekend morning or if out at a restaurant with desert. My in-laws make it half-decaf which works better with my stomach. However, I could drink ten Chai Tea Lattes a day if given the opportunity.

Now Excedrin has caffeine in it -- I know some who take their Excedrin WITH coffee. That sure would literally drill a hole in my stomach. I know that powdered aspirin mixed in with Cola is very popular in the south.

National Geographic featured our favorite drug last month -- it even made it to the cover! You catch part of the story here.

A great magazine for $19 a year. It even comes wrapped!
