Hi Everyone
We are in the process of appealing our insurance companys denial of coverage for ADR. I had seen a post previously from someone who had PHCS insurance that had been approved for the procedure. I am seeking out anyone that has PHCS and has been approved for coverage. We had PHCS previously as our administrator for our insurance coverage and now have Great West.
In talking with one the HR dept heads, my husband mentioned the fact that we had been told that someone who had PHCS now had been approved and that it was our understanding that our insurance coverage had not changed only our administrator had. The HR person acknowledged this and told us that if we can get any proof that PHCS is approving ADR that this would help my appeal as they were our old administrators of our policy.
So if anyone out there can help me by either giving me a copy of thier approval letter or writing a personal letter stating these facts it would be of great help to me. I am currently writing my appeal letter and hope to get it in the mail the first of next week.
Thanks in advance

I do not have PHCS and am not sure what it stands for. I have Health Comp through Universal Health Review- PPO. They approved me of a 1-level ADR in March.

Word on the streets is that things may be changing after the first of July, codes and such. Heard this out of more than one doctors office. July is a big time for a lot of insurance companies to change their plans. May want to look into this. My premiums will be going up July 1 $50 more/month Im on Cobra while on medical leave.

Thinking of you while you struggle through this difficult posses.

PHCS is Private Healthcare Systems I believe. They are a company that administrates for self funded company policies. I saw where someone previously was approved by them for ADR and as they were our former administrator of our policy I thought it would help to show our new UGGGH adminstrator Great West that they had paid for the procedure.
Our HR dept keeps telling us our coverage has not changed one iota only the administrator of the policy has. I have had nothing but aggravation from Great West so far so thats sort of hard for me to believe. We had no such problems with the former administrator. I hope this helps clarify.
