Hello to the most patient community in the world!

The Hosting company has finally cried "uncle," and kindly offered to give a full refund if I decide to move to another hosting provider. At least they offered this much, a bit unusual but certainly appreciated.

Some time in November, we'll be making some changes and I'll keep you posted.

For you techies, I am looking for a hoster that provides:

- 99.9 uptime SLA with a way to prove/monitor uptime metrics
- dedicated live tech support
- Must support CGI scripting -- discussion board application

Many folks are complaining that they are getting a "access denied" message, unfortunately! Sorry folks, I frequently call the hoster, but they appear unable to fix the problem....which is why we have to move to another hosting service.

Sorry & thanks for your patience.

I was just wondering if Alastair happened to jinx the forum with his message on 10-7-05 Just kidding... It's good to be able to access the forum again and I won't complain if a new host can provide better service. Thanks for all you do to keep our "odd little community" up and running.

Oh I know what you mean!! In the UK we call it commentators curse. I'm watching the UK snooker at the moment -- -- -- the commentator will say he's about to pot a certain ball and the player of course will miss -- -- -- lol

OK, Alastair, maybe I had my turn at commentator's curse. If we all avoid this thread perhaps the site issues will improve!?
