Did they give you any idea on what the estimated amount will be around?

"come by to take photos of the house?!" What's up with that? If it's not fancy enough -- you don't get a surgical procedure?! This is so maddening.

Putting my frustrations aside, congrats on your milestone! You've been through a lot, so you deserve the best treatment!

johnny
single level adr is estimated at 24,051 euros
and another 400 euro for the back brace.
i can only pray that the dollar increases against the euro real soon.

This may or may not be a trend, but the Euro has just decreased in value relative to the dollar....

Chuck,

I’m glad you’re moving forward on getting your life back. I had to take out a loan while I was on Medical Leave but they didn’t take pictures of my house. With the rise in home prices, they were happy to get me into debt.

I will be following your journey so keep us posted.

Good luck Chuck! I wonder if it would be worth buying a forward or an option on the Euro to lock in the lower price? Has anyone ever done that? When you're talking about 30K small changes have a much larger effect....

I think you can buy options (forwards etc) if you have a brokerage account and it could save people a pretty penny if the exchange rate rises... but if it lowers you lose the forward rate and pay the transaction costs... hmmm
