Hello,
I am new to your website. and feeling hopeless to get help for my annular tear at L5S1. My first MRI showed annular tear and bulge at L5S1 nearly two years ago. The second MRI done last year did not show this but I can still feel the pain, every day for the last two years. Was dismissed by an Orthopedist two days ago as being "all in my head". I wonder if I could post this on your site. I am hanging on by a thread and nearly bankrupt, as a result of this injury from a car accident that, by the way, was not my fault April 1, 2003. Also, I have VERY cold feet. Does anyone have cold feet and numbness in their extremeties? Is this related to L5/S1? The orthopedist did not think so.

Sometimes tears can heal themselves if left and resting for a few months.

I am not saying this is your solution - - maybe the Orthopedist neede some more glasses.

Have a look at this site about your tear maybe

Still hoping... my lumbar problems were the result of a car accident too.

You have numbness in both feet? Does the MRI show nerve comnpression?

I just sent you a PM.

still hoping:
i had numbness in both extremeties, along with a burning sensation, like my blood was on fire below my knees. and both feet would be cold mostly at night, and different temps during the day... before my 2level ADR surgery. My surgeon wasn't quite sure it was all disc related....in my case it was,as now @ 32mos post op, things are back to normal,no numbness, feet are normal temps and the same, and burning sensation is gone.
