I feel like an idiot that I didn't check sooner...I really thought they would not pay for overseas. Now I have a surgery date of July 28th with Dr. Zeegers. I leave on the 23rd. Need to put this together FAST.
Any tips would be appreciated. They need a "Letter of Medical Necessity"...basically What and Why. Thank you! |

fiddle,
A letter of medical necessity should come from your doctor. Dr Delamarter wrote me one. Could have been what got me covered plus the articles and the letter I wrote with the help of and attorney. You can find it in Good Insurance Co News Take what ever you need. Good Luck

Are you having a Charite overseas with Dr. Zeegers? i wonder if they are willing to pay for a device implanted overseas that is not FDA approved...and why would they pay for an FDA approved device implanted in Europe but not in the US?
Doesn't make any sense other than they pay a smaller percentage (for out of network dr) of a less expensive surgery???? Is Dr. Zeegers still making you pay up front and you're just encouraged by the fact you might be reimbursed? Or is Dr. Zeegers "accepting" your insurance and billing later?
