Hi all,
Here is a new question... added to the others I asked in my first post. What doctors do you recommend that take Blue Cross? I am finding Doctors that seem good... but they don't take my insurance. This is a problem. So anyone have any recommendations that I can look into? ... good doctor... takes Blue Cross.... Thanks!

prizmaticpril (I hope I spelled that right...)
I'm obviously not in your part of the country, but I also have Blue Cross (Anthem/BC) and have seen a good doc here in CO. My problem is that Blue Cross has so far put the kibosh on ADR. I've only just started the appeal process, and am up for a good fight, so we will see how that goes. Have you actually gotten approval? Anyway, doc is Douglas Beard, just recently moved back to Northern CO from the Denver area. Doesn't really help you in CA.....sorry. susan/ERvet

I actually just got denied this last week. I have Anthem/BC just like you.
I found a Dr. that takes BC here but then didn't want to go with him... was just feeling uncomfortable about a few things. That Dr. still tried to get me approved for the surgery and I just got the "no way jose" letter. Trying to figure out where I go from here. Good luck with the appeals process! Once I find a Dr. I'm happy with I'll be doing that too. I have to say... wow, woman! Your signature! You have been through it! The extended warranty thing made me laugh though.

The extended warranty does not come on our models.
And, another joke, Blue Cross is your favorite caring insurance company fully focused on your betterment. Have a nice day. Terry Newton

Dr. Rick Delamarter, out of Santa Monica, CA (Southern CA) is an outstanding spine surgeon, does ADR clinical trials and I've only heard good reports about his work. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes Blue Cross - when I spoke to his research dept. regarding being in their clinical trials, I was told they have an entire department devoted to dealing with patients' insurance companies to make it easy for them. Would be worth a try!
