They seemed to be popular with most of the USA members -- -- -- I think they're quite a usual thing across their.

I know there are different models, and some clever shopping can get you some very different prices -- -- -- lol

Dont worry Alastair I dont have a business or anything tied to the link that I put up. Just that I was going to get one for myself. Conversation thats OK right not suggesting that everyone should run out and get one because they have a bad back.

BLW this company has a lot of great stuff for us with bad backs, somethings you may be able to make yourself if your real crafty.

The thing I like about this company is that you get to pick your material and color, add extra temperpedic foam and with a script form your doctor they will give you 10% discount. I got a script from my Pain Management Specialist.

Just sharing the knowledge.

Poncho,
This is what the package insert says, "Forteo is the brand name for teriparatide, which is the same as the active part of a natural hormone called parathyroid hormone or PTH.Forteo forms new bone, increases bone mineral density and bone strength, and as a result, reduced the change of getting a fracture"

The way I understand it is that the hormone keeps the calcium level in the blood regulated high enough for new bone to grow. So far it's working although it's slow going.

Thanks Spotty,

I understand now. Thanks for explaining. I guess I am more familiar with other medications that are heavily marketed for increasing bone density. Now, I remember Forteo being in there too.

I just wanted to mention that I am in no way connected with any corporation that sells "anti-gravity chairs" or "zero gravity chairs" - et al - nor do I receive financial incentives for mentioning such devices (If I did, I wouldn't be where I am at now - in school ). Just a satisfied customer.

Hi Poncho,
It's been awhile. Glad to hear from you; you helped me out when I was deciding what to do about my back.

Hi Jeff,

Good to hear from you. How is the recovery going? Are you able to get out and do the things you use to before injury? I hope that you are able to get out and enjoy life more.

Poncho,
I'm getting along better with time. I have found I can't really speed up the process, but I sure have slowed it down a few times by either over-doing it, or by not maintaing my stretching-fitness-walking-gyrotonic properly.
I have a new 40 hour per week job, I play drums regularly with decreasing pain....there are so many "life" things I can do now; it's amazing. I still have significant limitations, but I am so very, very much better than I was before surgery. I don't feel like a "cripple" anymore......more like a guy who is getting better and better.

All the best to you, girl........
Jeff
