Besides his reputation as a doctor the comprehensive rehab program really appealed to me. You are in the rehab facility for 6 hours a day and typically would include, exam by doctor, 3 muscles massages, 1 lymph node/colon massage, motor skills work, strength work, and icing, heating, stretching as needed.

Thanks for your reply, TPatti. How did you determine his reputation? What resources have you used? Were you able to find patient testimonials? Yeah, the rehab is a huge plus!

I'm seriously considering him or Dr. Clavel, and I'm trying to find out as much as I can about both. I'm sure you considered Dr. Clavel at some point. Can you tell me why you chose not to go with him?

I felt that Dr. Clavel and Dr. Bierstedt are both great doctors but the focus on rehab really appealed to me. I spoke with 5 individuals that recently were operated on by Dr. Bierstedt and they all had great things to say regarding how they felt the rehab helped them in there recovery. They also let me know that from the areas they were from(North Dakota, Kansas, Manitoba) that they knew or had heard of several others that had positive results.

I have to agree with Todd on what he said and i also and having surgery with him, but i have the benefit of having a German mother so u can check his review on the German health system

under "sanego" you'll find German reviews

http://www.sanego.de/Arzt/Nordrhein-...mas-Bierstedt/

This is from German patients

Also with the one below you can find out were they work etc what region of Germany

KBV - Arztsuche in Deutschland - Arztsuche - Hier finden Sie die Ärztin oder den Arzt Ihres Vertrauens.
