Hello all. I've been wrestling with recurrent disc herniations at 3 levels for almost 4 years now. This is the first time I've joined a support community and posted anything. Most of these sights are pretty scary with stories of gloom and doom but I joined up here because members seem pretty informed, positive and stick around after their surgeries to provide support for others.

Have a consult with a physiatrist and a neurosurgeon in Boston this week. I've always felt physiatrists were kind of a waste of time but this guy comes highly recommended.

Hoping to learn about disc replacement as I figure some kind of surgery is in my future and I prefer to avoid fusion.

Default Hi!

Hi,

I'm 2 weeks post op today. Nice to meet you! Im 2 weeks post op ADR and doing well. (no scary story here) I waited 3 years to finally take the leap into surgery and I was extremely nervous and read every horrible story out there..lol I just got very tired of constantly being in pain and having my husband rub out my neck and shoulders every single night after work and feeling miserable all the time. I hope you find some great support here!

Stacy
