To use a cane or not to use...that is the ?

I wish I had a cane before my ADR surgery...would have loved to have it...never even thought about until now. I just had the surgery and I use my cane all the time. I don't care what people think, and I like the special attention -- more people open doors for me, which is great since I'm not supposed to be pushing something that heavy! I also use the grabber/claw thingy AND a shoe horn AND a long handled brush in the shower -- anything so I don't bend over.
