I'm sorry that I have not been posting much on the forum. However, I am doing what I can to keep up on everyone's cases.

In the past I have been saying that I need to go back to school so that I can do something different with my life other than nursing. Well, a month ago I decided to do just that and started an MBA program. I am doing this in hopes that I can combine my background in nursing and a business degree into something that I have a passion for which is helping those with spine issues. I can't put my finger on excactly what that will be, but I guess I'll know when I get there.

In the meantime, Poncho is getting her butt kicked in what was suppose to be an "intro" course for this MBA program - slam dunk - right? Not!!! Doing okay with the business concepts they are throwing at us, but the online computer skills that we need to learn is where I am weak at especially Excel.... Hopefully, I will stumble through it okay.

In the interim of this, I have been lurking and glad to see the new members on the forum along with such positive news from those who recently received ADR or in the process of this.

Anyways, I just wanted to post to let you know that I am still here and willing to help if I can.

Sincerely,
Poncho

Congratulations for moving on Poncho. You'll find Excel - all that database/stats stuff to be second hand after you gruel thru it.

Best, Allan

MBA...mo'betta assets?
Glad to see you're involved in further academic pursuit and hopefully you can stay awake in the classroom! I tried some business admin classes and was bored out of my mind ... tho it's all a matter of discipline and desire so go for it and maybe some of us will be able to sit down long enough to attend your graduation!
take care and keep us posted Poncho, good to see you writing as always!

Way to go, Poncho! We could use you up here, actually, when you graduate. I just heard that they are starting to change all the nurse co-ordinator (manager) positions into positions for MBA's. How scary is that? Now a nurse with an MBA, that's special! You'll be much in demand. Good luck with your studies.

Thank-you all for your words of encouragement. I really appreciate it.

I have to get though this computer stuff if I want to graduate (hopefully a couple years from now) - I am dating myself here - but I never needed this tech stuff when I went to school (not that I walked to school barefoot up a hill both ways) - but this is getting as Mark would say "geeee whizzz"....

The sitting can get to me a bit, not as bad as pre-ADR, but I am getting to know my limits quite well.

Harrison, I may need to pick your brain here with your IT background. We'll see.
