Default ADR L4/5 in 2012

Hi All
I've just joined this site. I had 2 laminectomies in 2005 then after having my son in 2009 my back pain became worse. I had adr at L4/5 in 2012 ( prodisc o ).
I have recovered well and been back at work since 8 months after surgery (I'm a nanny, not best job with a dodgy back!)
Lately I've started a new job which is 45 min drive away, caring for an 18 mth old who needs lifting - I try not to lift too much.
Been there 3 weeks and my back aches so bad every night .. just wondered if others get aching if they lift too much? Is this damaging or is it just muscles that I've avoided using for so long? Thanks for any advice.

Clare, it could be a number of things. Loading the spine with that much driving could be most of it. Even though I only had a one level ADR in 2004, it took me 12-18 months to recover to the point where I had painless driving. And it took almost 2 full years to feel "normal" again in my car seat!

Are you taking any NSAIDs? If so, what and how much per day?
