this may seem irrelevant after hearing some of the stories of ADR patients, but how about golf after ADR? i am considering ADR as a last resort for my situation (i have refused fusion). i am a very serious golfer and hope to be able to play at a high level once again after ADR.

I have not had ADR yet....but I cannot fathom why you would not be able to swing a golf club after you have fully recovered from the surgery, meaning complete osteo-integration of the endplates.
Also which implant are you considering and how many levels do you need an implant? If no one could do something as simple as that after an ADR implant then they would not be very good at all now would they? Andro1111

I hit a big bucket of balls last week. No pain at all. I am not an avid golfer but I think I could have started playing again about six months after surgery. I have read of others who are back playing post ADR.

i'm just over 2&1/2 yrs post op from my 2 level prodisc surgery, i hit 2 buckets of balls 3times a week, not bad considering the last time i played was 9holes 3yrs prior to surgery, that i had to quit after 5holes.

actually the golf swing is not quite that simple. it is very hard on your back from the torque and force, but i am hopeful to continue play after ADR. i have a DDD of l5-s1 and hope to go the germany (zeeger). still yet to be determined.
