Jim.... when you get back up north, you might want to try skydive snohomish. (That'll work out any cervical tightness you may have.) http://www.skydivesnohomish.com/
Last time I was up there we were doing a 10-man speed star competition. Teams split up into 5 Cessnas.... the clock started when the first person left the any plane, then stopped when the last grip was complete. What a blast! I miss that part of my life! Mark |

Weightlessness of the freefall sounds pretty good! I don't want to experience the landing.

Landings are OK... I have 850 jumps and have only fallen down 4 or 5 times. It's the opening shock... your are face to earth going 120mph, and your chute comes out... you slow down pretty quickly.

Today I cancelled the relocation.
It was just 2 days before the movers would arrive. I just felt too insecure taking the new position. Since last year I've been putting up with C-spine nagging pain. It seemed to be getting progressively worse. Then over a week ago it flared up so bad I was nearly incapacited over the weekend. The doctor put me on Elavil and I was taking pain killers at work last week. It was an agonizing decision not to go but I couldn't show up to the new job with a long face. The new job would be very people oriented. I could not hide at my desk and expect to be successful. Oh well maybe next time. The good thing is that my current job and S. Cal are very nice. Jim |

What tension Let your body unwind and maybe things work out for the best. Seattle's still there.

Thanks ans,
I do feel better after getting the decision out of the way, even though it's not the outcome I wanted. Jim |

Jim,
When I get really worked up about something, my back usually flares up or goes out completely ~ even something like travel plans. Now I also get Migraines so it's usually either or, and sometimes both! Well, on a personal note, I'm glad you're staying! Hopefully will see you again at a Spiney fest! Glad your current job is nice and we know So.CA. is! take care, Maria |

Maria,
Thanks for the thoughts. I was certainly worked up about the decision. Now a day afterwards I feel physically and emotionally much better. See you at our next gathering. Jim |

Jim, I was looking forward to seeing you here in the NW, but considering all you're going through reducing stress is a huge factor. I am so very happy to here that things seem to be getting better in the lumbar region!!!!!
Mark, if indeed Brian is also making improvement than perhaps we still have hope here for Janet's eventual recovery. Ans, since I lived here my entire life we take for granted all that is here. When you describe some of the places it lights up my memory banks. How long were you a B'hamster? We are very blessed here, from bald eagles sitting in our tree and top of garage next to a small stream where salmon snorkle their way up to spawn, the islands and Cascades 50 miles apart and situated between Vancouver and Seattle. It would be nice if it was a little warmer, one can only count on 4-4.5 months shorts weather. For all you other former, future, or current NW enthusiasts, if you are ever up Bellingham way I would love to buy you lunch and chit chat. bob listings@az.com |

Mariaa, sorry to see you won't be attending, I was looking forward to seeing you again. It certainly doesn't sound like things are improving for you and I hope you can work things out with WC and making a decision.
