New Here - Research Paralysis
Hello Everyone,
I'm new here, and grateful for this site. I wish I had come across it earlier. Suffice it to say, I am actively looking for the right place for surgery to replace my L5S1 disk. It's a bit like cliff jumping into the ocean it seems: lots of stress and paralysis before you finally jump. I have been looking at Dr. Albert Wong at DOCS spine in LA, ONZ in Germany, and also visited the nuerosurgeon at NSP in Los Cabos. Recently, a member here recommended Dr. Densai in Germany, so I have added him to the list. I guess like many here, I am looking for relief from decades of pain. Thankfully, I finally discovered (better late than never) that most of it could be coming from this blown disk. Cheers

Hi Scott, I hope you find some answers. This may help:
https://www.adrsupport.org/forums/search.php Whoever the doc, experience is key. I routinely suggest Texas Back, as they like some other US doctors have been doing ADR for 23 years. How are you managing your pain levels?

Managing the symptoms
Hi Harrison,
I am probably relatively lucky in the sense that I am currently mobile and have low pain levels as long as I am very careful about what I do. I have been rehabbing since August, and the pain is settling down if I keep to some light swimming and light rehab exercises and lots of rest. I actually just booked a surgery date at ONZ today for mid February after labouring over the various options. I am going to concentrate on going into surgery in good shape, hoping for a quicker recovery that way. Its an exciting and frightening time as I am sure most with this type of issue can relate. Thank you for running this site cheers Scott
