Hey Patrick,

I just re-read my last post, and I didn't realize how it comes across - I do find the humor in it that you are seeing.

I can look back and laugh at it now, but at the time - it really did happen and it was a really confusing time for me.

This is why I encourage anyone considering any invasive procedure like this to get as many opinions as possible.

Welcome David,

I would get the opinion of many qualified professionals and do your research. The key is finding what works best for you as you are young and have many years ahead of you.

If I can be of help, please don't hesitate to send me a PM or an email.

Justin

additional followup.....

Got an appointment with Dr. Mullin on 3-MAY, so I can take my recent MRI and discogram in and get his opinion, at the very least.

David

Hi David,

Beste Gruesse,

Florian

I think we have to go to Chirogeek's site to interpret Florian's post!

This is the translation for Florian's post: "I had my ADR with Dr. Zucherman in San Francisco in 2004 and I wished that I would have tried out before Accupuncture. The problem with me was that during the ADR OP my left urine leader was destroyed and I have since the big Problem with my left kidney. So, I might advise to You that You really try out all alternative methods, before You try any surgical solution. I have started just the needle jump-off and I find, it is the best one is to me happen is.

The best greetings,"

Hi everyone,
I am also new to this forum; thanks for being here. I have had two Doctors recommend ADR. My neurosurgeon has referred me to a pain management specialist to see if he can help me until he (the neurosurgeon)gets a little practice doing the ADR surgery. The pain management doctor has scheduled a discogram for this Tuesday. Because of everything I have read here, I am not looking forward to the experience, but I agree that it is necessary. He (the pain management doctor) said that if the L4/L5 disc is actually the cause of the pain, we may be able to do a procedure where a heated needle is inserted into the disc and somehow this stops the pain. Has anyone had this procedure? It would be great if this fixed the problem and I wouldn't have to have the ADR.

Hi Tammy,
Its one day at a time in this game, and I think your Dr could be talking about IDET which started in the 1980`s.

Always do the "Least Invasive" things first.

See what the discogramme says and take it from there - -- no "Bridge Crossing"
Best
Alastair
