you lucky sob
a. You live in CA, not in OH b. You can actually ride, thanks to prodisc. Hopefully I will be able to change B for myself sometime in the near future. David

And I was thinking of putting rubber tires around my car post-op.

I am 7 months out, and I did the motorcycle ride at about 6 months out too. But I had terrible pain in my T spine area for days after. My lumbar spine was pain free though. Also I wore my trusty ol' lumbar support brace. Did you wear a brace too? I am thrilled for ya!

Yeah Chuxk, we are supposed to take it easy. I guess just looking at my bike in the garage is so tempting that I can't help it. After my ride I was a little sore but nothing really bad. Did't have to take anything for it. I've been off of meds for 8weeks now.
Cindee, I didn't wear my girdle,;-) I mean my brace. The doctor told me I could take the brace off at 3weeks. Man I forgot how good it was to ride and be free... |

Well Chuxk I was on Oxycontin 20mg per dose and Oxycodone. I don't remember too much because the first week post-op I was abusing the meds, oh yeah I was on Soma 350mg also. I ended up in rehab(detox)for 14days!! They took me off the pain meds at 20days. Man I was hurting. Hot and cold chills but not my bones aching like some other people in rehab.
Dr. Delamarter put me in rehab(thank God)because they gave me 42Oxycontin and 110 Oxycodone at discharge from the hospital and after 7days I had 5 Oxycontin and 10 Oxycodone left. I would suggest not to deviate from your written prescribtion with your meds unless you talk to your doctor about it. You can be in danger of a seizure or something worse. |
