Thank you for the reply, much appreciated. After doing more research, it appears that I will be going with a MIS TLIF on L4-S1. The reasoning? My facets are shot at L5/S1 (going to have to be fused in either scenario), but my previous right-sided laminectomy @ L4/L5 appears to have left my spine too unstable at that level as well, showing spondy at both levels. I am going for another opinion from a surgeon that does both, but I think the TLIF will stabilize everything in that area. My thought is that if L3/L4 start to fail then I could do ADR at that level.....

- considering Dr. Zigler, Dr. Zeegers, local doc

Default Dr. Yue

Mike,

Did you contact Dr. Yue? I have an appointment with him in a couple weeks. While he was one of the developers of the Activ-L, and was involved with the trial, I haven't found much in the way of surgical outcomes from him.

I sent him my file. He responds quick to emails. But he is picky being from Yale if accepts you ( no pun intended ) you can be sure your a perfect candidate. I like him but he has some negative reviews on medical review sites from consumers of his service. Although none state bad surgery. I would have used him but his nurse called n said my spine was to small which after researching n asking him makes no sense.
