This is all kinda confusing to me lol I'm having a level 1 which will replace L5 and then S1 will be fused to it. Is that how it works? That's a hybrid right?

ADRs and fusions replace the disks between levels, as you already know. The L1, L2, to L5 designations are vertebra. So the disk between L4 and L5 is commonly called L45 or L4/5 or something like that. S1 is the sacrum so the disk between the last vertebra and the sacrum is L5S1. That means that replacing that disk with a single ADR is a one level job and not a hybrid.

Yes, so sounds like you are having the same 1 level done that I had 2 weeks ago (L5-S1) If it was a hybrid they would be doing two levels (such as L4-s1) If your issue is with L5-S1 it would be a one level adr. A hybrid is where they fuse one level( space between 2 vertibrae) and then have an adr at the level above.

You don't have long to wait now!

nope, 1 more week. they did find I have a hernia as well when I met with the Dr. who will be cutting me open. Its a belly button hernia which I Have never heard of but they are gonna fix that while they are in there.

They are doing l4-s1 so 2 level I'm stoked
