Default ADR and Inversion

I am wondering if its possible to still do inversion if you have an artificial disc? Has there been anyone who has been told not to do this? The reason I ask is because sometimes I get vertabrae or joint sublaxation and I have to manually pop everything back into place by stretching upside down. I wonder if any type of artificial discs are designed to handle that type of position. Thanks

Once the device is settled and osteo-integration of each end-plate has occurred, and you have healed, you should be fine -- assuming proper positioning of the device and healthy facets. Patients are advised by their docs of this after their healing process is complete and they have no restrictions on their activities. That said, talk to your doctor...everyone's situation and healing time is a bit different than others. It's tempting to compare oneself to others and this is expected -- but it is always a risk to make subjective comparisons.

I am five years post-op and my spine is great. I do hang and do chin-ups, but I might think twice about inversion. This activity puts enormous tension on the entire spine and all its elements -- including the facets.
