Default This site needs to have emails mandatory for members!

I became a bit discouraged because I was not receiving much info regarding my upcoming 3 level hybrid surgery in Barcelona. Since I wasn't logging on I missed a couple of private messages that would have been HUGE for me and may have helped not having an absolutely horrible painful first night.

Maybe the default should be email notification and if you don't want it then turn it off. I've been waiting to hear from another member but they don't have an email under contact info. Thanks

I agree! I get no notifications for a while, then like ten or twenty all at once.

Guys, this is a big problem for me too! As the admin, I run into lots of problems because people don't check the email accounts affiliated with this site. Many people change or abandon their email accounts too.

And you can decide how to be notified by checking the options in settings in the User CP (control panel) in the upper left.

JmBeam, you can receive alerts to your email when you get a private message. Was that NOT happening for you?

Lillyth, are the notifications you are getting all at once from the same date, or different dates? If there's a technical problem, I'll try to figure out the cause. Does anyone else have specific problems like this?

Y'all!

Go to:

User CP (upper left, near the spine) > Setting & Options > Edit Options > Messaging and Notifications

There you can set your preferences, that should resolve this issue.

Harrison,

I wrote that post while hurting like you wouldn't believe. Now that I look back I should have looked at the bottom and made sure that I selected instant email .All my fault! However most people are most likely as goofy as me. It would be a great help if the instant email notification could be the standard. Its been a week and still waiting for Gibbsxxx to write me back but it took me three weeks to reply to his private message. I could have saved myself the worst night I ever had if I had communicated with him initially. Thanks again

Thx JmBeam. It's a good reminder for me to let the community know that we are here together to support others. Just post if you need anything.

Hope you are better and stronger in all the days ahead!

I just noticed today all the messages come on Sundays. I'll try to fix it tomorrow.
