laminectomy/discectomy prior to ADR

One question, Anyone have 1st hand knowledge of how/if prior laminectomy/discectomy impacts the success or lack of success of a 'ADR'? I have consulted Dr Zeegers and he told me only a small % of laminectomies due enough damage to facet joints to inhibit the ability to install ADR.

thats a tough one but you should look at some of the threads on here as a few of the guys have had that prior and have had good outcomes all depends

new at site, so not familiar with best way to find things like that. Should I use the search option and put in keywords like laminectomy ADR?

yeah at the top there is a search bar, but i am sure someone will post as there is a good few that have had what u have had and then a adr

Henry,

Dr. Z is one of the most experienced and credible spinal arthroplasty surgeons in the world. So it may be iffy to look to patients to second-guess his candid advice. But it's always a good practice to talk to patients that have been through the process -- that's why I started this community years ago.

Anway, this has been discussed many times here since 2004. There are literally hundreds of topics and studies herein.
