Karen,

I'm 45 years old, and had ADR surgery 5 weeks ago. The diagnosis for me was L4-5 and L5-S1, with the lower being worse. My surgeon felt we could get away with doing only L5-S1. 1 week after surgery an X-Ray was taken, and the visual was astounding. The curvature of my spine had returned to normal, and this has given me great hope. When the nurse had me walk a little, several hours after the surgery, the pain in my lower back was gone. Hang in there!

Thank you for the encouragement "cjgalli". I have been sitting here thinking about what it is going to be like over the next few weeks and your note has helped me focus more on the outcome than the actual surgery.

10-02 - ProDiscs L4/5 and L5/S1 - FDA study - disks placed incorrectly which
caused problem at L3/4 and L2/3
01-05 - ProDiscs at C5/6 and C6/7 in Germany - seems to be working fine so far
Bedbound from 09-06 until 10-08 due to severe pain and weakness
09-08 - Had Fibrin sealant done at L3/4 and L2/3 After 6 weeks - much success!
Hoping and praying that the lumbar revision surgery that was scheduled with Dr. Regan
can be indefinitely postponed

I was just reading your responses to this-who do you know that got coverage by their insurance company? and what insurance comapny was it?
