or the lack of? My poor hubby is upset, its been this way for years and it bothers me too. I'm beginning to feel like my husbands sister.
Most positions are either too difficult or too painful. Any suggestions or thoughts? val |

You may need some professional help with this one. Don't be afraid to ask your general practitioner, OB/GYN, or specialist.
Best wishes!

Val, is your hubbie invested in your process of finding a solution for your pain? What are you doing to get on the road to wellness? Hopefully he is sympathetic to your condition. It's hard for any couple to sort through these issues, and almost everyone here can relate to the sensitivity of the situation.
In the meantime, check out this topic regarding things people have tried before ADR: (dead link deleted here) Let us know what kind of shape you spine is in...have you had XRays? MRIs? Do you have a good spine doctor that you like & trust?

hmmm, rather personal subject but one we all deal with. Good for you for bringing it up.
Have you tried pillows at various spots under your body? It may be lack of cupport that makes positions difficult. I spoke to my GP about and she was very helpful. I have been married 22 yrs and hubby is very understanding, and honestly never brings it up. He is wonderful. Just be patient and keep trying. p.s..my Dr also said that the hormone rush afterwards is a natural pain reliever...lol |

Yes, he is sympathetic to the condition, most of the time. I"m not in pain 24/7, so it's not the pain so much as hurting myself constantly when we do make love. He gets frustrated easily and then I feel guilty. I guess this is as good as it's going to get. I"m not in pain, but I have to be extremely careful of how I move; my back is hypersensitive.Every so often, I throw my back out and then I"m home for a few days. I do the stretching exercises my spine dr and chiro want me to do. I recently had another epidural and it's helped alot. Yah, I love both my spine dr (from Beth Isreal spine center) and my chiro. Tons of MRI's . L4L5 and lots of arthritis in lower back, which makes me feel as if I have a rod up my butt. LOL Sex is a very touchy subject for hubby and I. Thanks for listening. val |
