i thought i would share this with all. i found a tread on another site and have bought a pair of these shoes for pain relief as they reduce the walking force by 50% and helps save the joints lower back and knees and ankles. also there very supportive. i got the z-coil walking shoe and so far i am very happy with these.
i have found that people either love them or dislike theres no in between.
www.zcoil.com
also they give you free adjustments for the life of the shoe.
and offer a 30 day return policy less a 40 dollar restock fee.
so you can test walk them.

Thanks Chuck. I'd be interested in checking these out next time I'm home--but can you give us a price range?

Oh My God are they are ugly or what!

I can't imagine myself bouncing through life though I've been accused of this before.

If I ever considered these I would get the closed heel system. I am checking out the Masai Footwear which also won't win a beauty prize. Check them out at walkerswarehouse.com and look up MTB Swiss Made Shoes.

I wouldn't recommend something with heels if you have back pain. You'll just make the pain worse cause your spine has to adjust to an improper balance.

small heels might be good for a healthy person standing all day long, but for back sufferers you'd do yourself one better if you plunked down that $200 on high quality plaster cast orthodics, better posture, and flat heeled walking shoes.

Oh, Terry, you just cracked me up! I had exactly the same thoughts as you when I saw them....they are butt ugly! But I didn't want to hurt Chuck's feelings. For all the compromises I've had to make over the years with my back issues, I still have retained my vanity! Yes, I want a good comfortable shoe, but does it still have to pass the hip, good-looking, I've still got it going on look? You bet it does! I hope I still care about my looks and what I wear even when I'm 80! God love you Chuck for wearing those things out of the house! (he-he-he)

CindyLou,

You always put a smile on my face. I love what you said about shoes.

My Mom wore heels until she was way up in her 80s. I pretty much gave up heels after my 4th foot surgery. My Mom thought it was awful, I wouldn't even wear heels to church or out to a fancy dinner.
