Question parapelvic cysts

Just wondering if anyone has heard of these, or have seen them in a MRI before:

"...Multiple bilateral parapelvic or parapelvic cysts are seen in the kidneys...."

This is from an in-law's recent MRI, he went in to see his doc for back pain.

The lumbar MRI findings:

Findings
  • Straightening to reversal of the lordotic curve is seen.
  • Moderate degenerative changes are present involving the vertebral body endplates of L2-L3 and L3-L4.
  • An annular tear is present at L5-S1.
  • The visualized lumbar spinal cord is normal in size and signal intensity
L1-L2 shows mild facet hypertrophic changes.

L2-L3 demonstrates a broad-based diffuse disc bulge with bilateral exiting
nerve root impingement and, left greater than right and bilateral neural
foraminal stenosis. Mild facet hypertrophic changes present.

L3-L4 shows a diffuse disc bulge, left greater than right, with bilateral
neural foraminal stenosis and bilateral exiting nerve root impingement.

L4-L5 shows a mild diffuse disc bulge with no nerve root impingement.

L5-S1 demonstrates a central to paracentral intervertebral disc protrusion with
bilateral descending nerve root impingement.

I have heard of Tarlov cysts but not parapelvic cysts. Both sound terrible and I wouldn't wish them on anyone!
